Always have a backup Plan
Recently, I had a hiccup during a family session. I arrived 30 minutes early to scout the location, only to find that the new owners had started winter hours early—meaning the spot would be closed at our scheduled time. Luckily, I had a few alternate locations in mind, so we quickly pivoted to Jacobsburg Park, just in time to capture the last rays of sunset before they dipped behind the hill.
Lesson is: always have a backup plan. When things don’t go as expected, having an alternative ready to go can make all the difference.
In the end, we caught the sunset, the fall colors, and the smiles.
